Finally, a great fit on my waist!
These jeans are so cute! I love that they fit as high-waisted as I dreamed, and because of that are genuinely really comfortable to wear. No digging waist. My mom said she swore she had a pair just like these when she was younger so I guess they're authentically 80s! (also the slight room in the hips and butt gives off a really nice hourglass shape that my boyfriend reacted positively to). These are definitely on the baggier side of mom jeans, so steer clear if that's not your thing.

will stretch out
if you dont like wearing tight-fitting jeans, these are really nice because theres a lot of room around the stomach and hips. i will say though that because these flare a bit at the hips, i can't wear it with loose/long shirts because I look a bit like grimace (from mcdonalds fame). also, the cashier warned me when i was checking out that these stretch out over time so keep the tags on- they did stretched out about a size but i was too lazy to exchange for a 7 so i just sewed an elastic band to the back to tighten it. alternatively- wear a belt ;)
i got a size 9. me - 5'5", 140lbs, 28" waist, 39" hips.
